JAKE TACCARDI YMCA FUND
On behalf of the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, our President/CEO Angie Reese Hawkins, Board of Directors, staff and the thousands of children served by the YMCA, we are deeply saddened by the loss of a dear friend, Jake. We are indeed thankful to the family of Jake for allowing him to be a part of our lives and for giving the spirit of life learning and always seeking to discover more. Whether he was teaching, training, coaching or working with our children at the YMCA Loudon County Program Center, you could always see the excitement in Jake and know the impact he had on the individuals he touched. He was and will always be an inspiration to the work we do to encourage our young people to aspire to be phenomenal individuals.

Even though we come together in grief to acknowledge the loss of a truly beautiful human being, we are honored and humbled to be part of Jake’s legacy by establishing the
JAKE TACCARDI YMCA FUND.
This fund will provide financial assistance to help families with child care costs who would otherwise not be able to participate in the YMCA preschool, after school or summer camp programs.

From its inception, YMCA Chocolates Galore & More quickly became one of the area’s most eagerly anticipated events. Hosted by our premier partner, Lansdowne Resort and Spa, and with an attendance of more than 800 people, the evening is one of Loudoun County’s Finest Culinary and Social Event of the Winter Season.
The signature portion of the evening is the Best Taste and Best Presentation competition between some of our finest local restaurants. At the event, five professional food critics, along with our guests, sample and judge the sweet and savory culinary creations presented in the dessert and hors d’oeuvre categories.Winners are announced towards the end of the evening as the Critic’s Choice and People’s Choice for best taste and best presentation.
