It’s a party at the Y! Celebrate the end of another awesome summer together in this weeklong fiesta!
IT’S A THINGAMAJIG
STEM shapes our everyday experiences and is designing our future—our Thingamajig camp opens doors to strategic thinking and creative expression by challenging children to invent solutions to everyday problems using only what can be re-purposed around them. This is a very special week as our Junior and Senior campers will be invited to attend the 27th Annual YMCA Thingamajig Invention Convention—a one of a kind STEM-based gathering where youth and community partners come together to learn, explore, experiment, and discover.
EXPLORING THE WORLD
Around the world in 5 days! We’ll be learning all about different regions, people and their customs from all over the world through arts/crafts, group games and science activities. We may even ask families to bring in items that represent their own cultures.
AT THE MOVIES
From cartoon characters to our favorite superheroes—we’ll see them all this week! We’ll end the week with a camp-wide movie screening so pack your PJs and popcorn for a week of Hollywood themed fun!
