YMCA Loudoun County Travel Camps

HORSEBACK RIDING

An introduction to riding basics, horse care, and responsibility taught in a safe and fun environment! Campers are transported by the YMCA to the stables for 2-3 hours each day to learn what it’s like to care for and ride their own horse. The emphasis of this camp is on safety and respect for the horse and his care. Campers will ride each day; based on experience, campers are split into groups and when groups are not riding they will participate in a variety of fun activities that may include: bathing, grooming, feeding, arts & crafts, and more!
Please wear long pants, sturdy shoes, and a riding helmet for this camp. Helmets can be provided by the stables if you do not bring your own.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE

Come experience the great outdoors! YMCA campers will be transported to different parks daily where participants will experience firsthand nature through trail walks, crawfishing, shelter building, field games, archery and much more!  Campers gain perspectives about themselves, learn about interacting respectfully with others, and discover that they can play an important role in protecting the environment.
