Working in communities, schools, and families’ homes, the Y supports families that are low-income, undocumented, newly arrived, or otherwise in need of assistance. Our after-school programs provide valuable academic enrichment, recreation, and mentoring to students who might otherwise fall behind in school and struggle to lead healthy and productive lives.
We help children on the verge of being removed from their homes, those with mental or behavioral challenges, those exposed to violence, those in foster care, newcomers, and those who’ve lacked access to education.
The Y’s mental health, case management, mentoring, and youth development staff provide counseling, care, access to community resources, and after-school programs to help families overcome challenges no one should have to face alone.
Youth and Family Services currently serves residents in Montgomery County, MD, but we are actively seeking to expand our impact to other areas.
