Thingamajig Convention

inspiring your inner genius

Thank you for joining us for the 20th Annual Thingamajig Invention Convention!

Thinga-What?

A Science & Invention Festival Where Your Kid Designs their Experience!

At the YMCA, summers full of inspired learning STEM from THINGAMAJIG. For 20 years, we’ve sparked the inventive, creative minds of children through hands-on workshops, challenges and exhibits. Thingamajig gives youth the opportunity to exercise their minds and bodies. It is a FREE full day of science-focused activities designed to open the doors to strategic thinking, creative expression and a bright future.

Every year, a diverse group of community leaders join us to share their expertise with the kids: the FAA, Washington Gas, AOPA, DC Dept. of Public Works, LEGO Lab and MUCH more. With 15 invention challenges, an on-the-spot group challenge and over 50 workshops, kids leave with an experienced understanding of the world, their health and their future.
